Service Description

Details: Let’s take an adventure through Nebraska’s prehistoric past!! This 3-part, in-school field trip series will immerse students in paleontology, fossils, & what Nebraska looked like long ago. Each natural history lesson follows Nebraska’s journey from the Mesozoic Era through the Ice Age. Students will learn all about fossils, paleontology, dinosaurs, & prehistoric mammals. This package is intended for one classroom and/or up to 30 students. Book back-to-back sessions for additional classrooms. Length: 30 minutes (20 minute lesson / followed by a 10 minute discussion & Q&A) Topics covered: • Day 1 - Paleontology & Fossils: What are they, how do they form, erosion, & geological time. • Day 2 - Dinosaurs & the Western Interior Seaway: What are dinosaurs? Nebraska’s in-land sea, & the K-PG extinction. • Day 3 - Cenozoic Era Creatures of Nebraska: Mammoths, Rhinos, Camels, & More. Cancellation Policy

Bookings may be cancelled up to seven days prior to the reservation date for a full refund. Bookings within seven days can be re-scheduled, but will be based upon staff availability.
